Privacy policy
A plain-English explanation of what information this website collects, why, and the choices you have.
Who we are
This website is run by Company name to be confirmed (“Exercise Academics”, “we”, “us”), registered at Registered address to be confirmed. We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact us at Contact email to be confirmed.
What this website does
Exercise Academics publishes children’s workbooks. This website describes the books and links to Amazon, where all purchases are made. We do not sell books or take payments on this website.
Information we collect
Information you give us: when you ask for a free sample page we collect your email address, the school year your child is in, and how you tell us they are finding their work. The two answers about your child are there so we can send a page at the right level rather than one that is too hard or too easy; we do not ask for your child’s name and you should not send it. We also keep anything you send us if you contact us directly.
What signing up means: asking for a sample page also adds you to our parent mailing list, so you receive new material and termly tips as we publish them. This is stated on the form itself, next to the button. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list entirely.
Information collected automatically: none beyond what our website host records to deliver and secure the site. We do not run analytics or advertising cookies on this website.
How we use it and why
To send you the sample page and the material you signed up for: with your consent, given on the form and withdrawable at any time. To choose which sample page to send you: using the year group and difficulty you told us, so the page suits your child. To reply to your messages: because it is in our legitimate interests to answer enquiries. To meet our legal obligations: where the law requires us to keep records.
Purchases on Amazon
When you click a Buy on Amazon button you leave this website and Amazon’s own terms and privacy notice apply. We do not receive your payment details or delivery address.
Who we share information with
We only share personal information with organisations that help us run the website and mailing list, such as our website host. They may only use it on our instructions. We do not sell your personal information.
International transfers
Some of our providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
Mailing list details are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiry emails are kept for up to two years after we have dealt with them.
Cookies
This website uses only the strictly necessary cookies required to deliver and secure the pages you request. We do not set analytics or advertising cookies, so there is nothing to consent to or opt out of.
Children’s information
This website is written for parents, carers and tutors, not for children. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, to move it to another provider, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email Contact email to be confirmed. Every marketing email also contains an unsubscribe link.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last changed. Last updated: Date to be confirmed.
